'Blasted Allegories' is a 2011 reprint of three texts included in 'Blasted Allegories: An Anthology of Writings by Contemporary Artists', first published in 1987 by the New Museum, New York. The texts are: 'My Files of Movie Stills', by John Baldessari; 'Reading an Archive', by Allan Sekula; and 'Casual Imagination', by Judith Barry.
The texts were selected as a contribution to Andrea Francke & AND Publishing's Piracy Project, an international publishing and exhibition project exploring the philosophical, legal and practical implications of book piracy and creative modes of reproduction.
